Babel Camp’s ruin bar was “founded” by musicians in 2016, during the first Babel Sound festival in Balatonboglár. They simply went into a ruinous room and started playing music, but they also brought a decent amount of drinks with them. Both the sound and the atmosphere were so good that after that we assembled a bar and a small stage, furnished it a bit, and that’s it. Since then, it has operated as a bar and community meeting place, and even as a creative space. The Ruin Bar is the soul of Babel Camp, over the years thousands of musicians from all over the world passed here as musicians, guests, and friends.
